Our Church
Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.
The New York Chinese Seventh-day Adventist Church serves as a spiritual home for all Christians in the New York City area. Established in 1987, our congregation has grown to approximately 180 members.
We emphasize community and fellowship among believers. In addition to serving our local congregation, we are actively planting new church fellowships and expanding the Kingdom of God within the Chinese community. Currently, we are reaching out to areas such as Flushing in Queens and Bay Ridge in Brooklyn, with plans to extend our ministry to other boroughs in the near future.
As the church continues to grow, we are committed to doing more for our community. We engage in outreach efforts to provide food, support, and assistance to those in need. Our mission is to extend love, hope, and support to everyone, ensuring that all feel welcomed and cared for.
However, we can't do it alone! We need your help to reach more people, spread the message of hope, and serve our community. Together, we can make a greater impact and fulfill our calling to love and serve others.
Our church is a vibrant, multiracial, and multilingual community, with members who speak English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish, Indonesian, French, German, and various other languages, reflecting the rich diversity of our congregation.
Seventh-day Adventists
My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a mainstream Protestant church with approximately 19 million members worldwide, including more than one million members in North America. The Seventh-day Adventist Church seeks to enhance quality of life for people everywhere and to let people know that Jesus is coming again soon.
Adventists believe a Trinity of three persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—make up one God. They made salvation possible when Jesus, the Son, came to earth as a baby in Bethlehem and lived a sinless life in accordance with the Father's will. When Jesus was crucified for the sins of the people of the world and arose from the dead on the third day, victory was won for everyone.
When He returned to heaven following the resurrection, Jesus left the Holy Spirit to serve as our Comforter and Counselor. He promised to return to earth a second time to complete His plan of salvation and take His people to heaven. Adventists are among the believers who look forward to that day.
Adventists believe that God is concerned with the quality of human life, and that everything—the way we live, eat, speak, think, treat each other, and care for the world around us—is part of His plan. Our families, our children, our jobs, our talents, our money, and our time are all important to Him.
